CURRENT PROJECTS
RLJ3 and Puremetal Comics are actively building a dark and immersive lineup of comic and literary projects, blending horror, folklore, and regional storytelling into something uniquely their own. At the center of their current slate is Stories from the Dead, an upcoming anthology set for release on October 31st, 2026, featuring chilling short stories like Ted’s Dead and Ohio Is for Serial Killers. Alongside this anthology, they are developing a full-length book titled The Ohio Spirit Guide, a haunting collection inspired by the tone of classic campfire horror—reimagined through the lens of Ohio’s eerie legends and backroads mythology. With additional short stories, expanding comic arcs, and future full-length releases already in development, RLJ3 and Puremetal Comics are steadily carving out a growing universe of dark, interconnected tales with much more on the horizon.

About Richard Jones III
Richard Jones III, known as RLJ3, has long held an unwavering passion for sequential arts, beginning his creative journey in 1999 with the independent comic series Night Demon while illustrating various titles and participating in numerous events. His dedication to his craft led him to study with accomplished comic industry artists through local illustration classes, anatomy courses, and Saturday drawing sessions at CCAD in Columbus, Ohio.
I love to create art because it keeps the devil at bay and is the only thing that truly makes me happy. I have been drawing all my life.
Voting for the People’s Artist presented by Johnny Depp is officially open, and I’m incredibly grateful for all the support so far. The winner will be featured in Artforum Magazine, receive $25,000, and have their artwork displayed at The Art of Elysium’s Salon in Los Angeles. Right now, I’m currently sitting in 4th place in my group, and every single vote truly makes a difference. Voting is completely free, and you can vote once per day. If voting isn’t your thing, simply sharing this post helps more than you know and means just as much to me. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to vote, share, and support my work. It honestly means the world to me and helps keep this dream alive.
